Well I don't see you everyday
I count the hours that I'm away
I wish that you were here by me
Coz this ain't the way that its supposed to be
Another show, another place
A picture of you, a smiling face
A broken heart that you will never see
Coz this ain't the way that its supposed to be
Lies are told, angry words are said
When I'm with you baby I don't care
Right here for you I will always be
Coz this ain't the way its supposed to be
This ain't the way that it's supposed to be
This ain't the way that it's supposed to be
Can't stand, I gotta have you close to me
This ain't the way that it's supposed to be
When I look at you and I see me
I see you, your all I thought you'd be
How you make me feel I still cannot believe
Coz this ain't the way that its supposed to be
This ain't the way that it's supposed to be
This ain't the way that it's supposed to be
Can't stand, I gotta have you close to me
This ain't the way that it's supposed to be
And so I call you on the phone, another tour
I'm far away from home
I wish that you could be here by me
Coz this ain't the way that its supposed to be
This ain't the way that it's supposed to be
This ain't the way that it's supposed to be
Can't stand, I gotta have you close to me
This ain't the way that it's supposed to be
This ain't the way that it's supposed to be
This ain't the way that it's supposed to be
Can't stand, I gotta have you close to me
This ain't the way that it's supposed to be
