Shihad è un gruppo musicale rock neozelandese formatosi a Melbourne, Australia nel 1988. Il gruppo, composto da Jon Toogood (voce), Phil Knight (chitarra), Karl Kippenberger (basso) e Tom Larkin (batteria), ha raggiunto una notevole popolarità in Nuova Zelanda con un sound caratterizzato da sonorità grunge e alternative rock. Tra i loro album più importanti figurano "The General Electric" (1992), "Churning the Sea" (1995) e "Killjoy" (1998). Dopo gli attentati dell'11 settembre 2001, il gruppo ha cambiato nome in Pacifier per un periodo di tre anni. Nel 2005 sono tornati al nome Shihad e hanno continuato a pubblicare musica fino ad oggi.
