Sacred Steel è un gruppo heavy metal tedesco formatosi nel 1997. Conosciuti per il loro sound potente e aggressivo, hanno costruito una solida fanbase nell'underground metal europeo. La band si distingue per l'uso di riff chitarristici intricati e veloci, accompagnati da batteria potente e growl gutturali. Nonostante non abbiano raggiunto la fama mainstream, Sacred Steel sono considerati un punto di riferimento nel panorama heavy metal tedesco, influenzando numerose band emergenti. Tra i brani più rappresentativi si ricordano "Blood and Thunder", "Ironclad" e "The Serpent's Curse".

Nel 2023, oltre il 70% delle canzoni entrate nella Billboard Hot 100 aveva avuto un'origine virale su piattaforme social prima di ricevere attenzione radiofonica.
Il 28 aprile 1986 la cantante Graziella Franchini, in arte Lolita, veniva ritrovata esanime e sfigurata nella camera del residence di Lamezia Terme in cui viveva ormai da un pò di tempo. L'omicidio è rimasto privo di colpevoli.
