Large Professor, pseudonimo di William Paul Mitchell, è un rapper, beatmaker e produttore discografico statunitense nato a New York nel 1967. Considerato uno dei pionieri del jazz rap, ha contribuito in modo significativo alla scena hip hop degli anni '90 con la sua musica caratterizzata da campionamenti jazz complessi e ritmi intricati. Ha collaborato con artisti di spicco come Gang Starr, A Tribe Called Quest e De La Soul. Tra i suoi album più importanti ricordiamo "The Professor's Mix" (1992) e "Main Ingredient" (1995).
