Pete Rock, pseudonimo di Peter Phillips, è un DJ, produttore discografico e rapper statunitense nato a New York nel 1968. Considerato uno dei pionieri del hip hop underground, Pete Rock ha raggiunto fama internazionale negli anni '90 grazie al suo stile di produzione caratterizzato da campionamenti jazzistici e funk, creando atmosfere rilassanti e groove irresistibili.
