Still little Mark from down the street
From the city where they would kill for a pound of weed
Tryin to make my mama proud of me
Prince of the city, bufferin Jimmy cus he still the king
Haters takin shots and I don't feel a ding
Squad behind me, Pat Riley, I can build a team
Say you love me, what that really mean?
You ain't my lover, Miss Billie Jean, I deal with fiends
In a different way, I'm tryna get away
What can I say? I'll be gone til the end of May
Welcome to the bright lights
In a world where you get lost in the night life
Groupie chicks try and claim they the wife type
And then yo friends will screw you over for the right price
Go to bed, night night
It gets serious when you runnin out of options
Call himself a rapper but you just call him jobless
Sellin my CDs out the trunk to make a profit
No matter if you knock it, I was happy bout the progress
Had to go another route
It's Fly America, I'm comin out
I told mama I'mma make it
Got drive, dedication
So my dream I'm chasin
Just tryin to dodge safe and
That my dream, God know I'm impatient
I told my mama I'mma make it
I'mma make it
We gon make it, what's a chance if you don't take it
I told my mama I'mma make it
Mama I'mma make it
Yea we gon make it, what's a chance if you don't take it
I made my lil mama a promise that I got us
Now it's Benihanas, reminiscin on them projects
All black diamonds in my all gold mocasins
You know you profit with commas in your deposit slips
I see my mama whip a ostrich, only kitchen appliance
Yall niggas keepin yo bias and nigga you's bein honest
Tryin to make a dollar out of 15 cent
We shed them tears when the Redman made that rip
But now it's Miami Heat games, season six
To you it's a lick for dudes with chips it's all love
I spit the dip with my buckle to show the hustle
New crib look like the devil, yall in trouble
I told mama I'mma make it
Got drive, dedication
So my dream I'm chasin
Just tryin to dodge safe and
That my dream, God know I'm impatient
I told my mama I'mma make it
I'mma make it
We gon make it, what's a chance if you don't take it
I told my mama I'mma make it
Mama I'mma make it
Yea we gon make it, what's a chance if you don't take it
Mama look
