Great Big Sea è un gruppo musicale canadese di folk-rock proveniente da Terranova e Labrador. Noto per le energiche interpretazioni rock di canzoni tradizionali della musica folcloristica di Terranova, tra cui sea shanties, che si ispirano all'eredità irlandese, inglese e francese dell'isola risalente a 500 anni fa. Il gruppo esegue anche materiale originale. Tra i brani più rappresentativi: "When I'm Up", "Consequence", "The Old Home Place" e "Ordinary Day".
