!llmind, put the loop on
I gotta love me first, I know
I'm rolling up a pers-onal
Blunt to the face, then I face the facts
Mmm
Heartbreak hurts, but I made the cracks
Mmm
I just need a stronger foundation (Stronger foundation)
I just need a little more patience (Need a little more patience)
Tryna build you up before me, that don’t make sense (It don't make sense)
If we was really ever homies, you would take this L
And do it by yourself
'Cause I learned some lessons
I earned some blessings
I burned some bridges, I’m hardly finished with all that shit
I been through pain and pleasure
The rainy weather, it made me better
I stayed together and walked off with this
You can't love nobody else, if you don't love you (Oh)
Can't expect nobody's help, if you don't want to (Oh)
Do the work
Get it in, really get it in
Gotta be your own homie, lover, and your best friend (Oh)
Gotta do the work
Get it in, really get it in
Gotta be your own homie, lover, and your best friend (Oh)
Mmm, you gotta work that (Oh-oh-oh, oh)
Work that (Oh-oh-oh, oh)
(Work) Work that (Oh-oh-oh, oh)
Work that (Oh-oh-oh, oh)
Okay, it's silly giving me
To so many who don't appreciate it
Feeling me just for the night
Then slice me like a piece of cake
It feel like taking gum out in public
Everybody want a piece of Tate
But when shit get ugly
Who checking if YBT is straight?
Me, myself, and I that’s all I got in the end
Everybody know that by now
Like the police is behind me
I ain’t 'bout to slow down
Giving myself this love
Let me adjust my crown
Queen shit, that’s the key
Shoutout to Key
But you know I can't forget to give a shoutout to me, bitch
Yes, indeed
And wait 'til you see
The woman I'm becoming, ooh wee
’Cause I learned some lessons
Earned some blessings
Burned some bridges, I'm hardly finished with all that shit
I been through pain and pleasure
The rainy weather, it made me better
I stayed together and walked off with this
You can't love nobody else, if you don't love you (Ooh, oh, if you don't love you)
Can't expect nobody's help, if you don't want to (No, no)
Do the work
Get it in, really get it in (Mmm)
Gotta be your own homie, lover, and best friend
(You gotta) Do the work
Get it in, really get it in
Gotta be your own homie, lover, and best friend
(Mmm, you) Gotta work that (Oh-oh-oh, oh)
Work that (Oh-oh-oh, oh)
(Work) Work that (Oh-oh-oh, oh)
Work that (Oh-oh-oh, oh)
What's ten plus two plus two?
(Gotta do the work)
You gotta work on you
(Gotta do the work)
