Exciter è una storica band canadese di speed metal proveniente da Ottawa, Ontario. Considerati uno dei primi gruppi di speed metal e un'influenza fondamentale per il genere thrash metal, hanno mantenuto un seguito fedele nonostante numerosi cambiamenti nella formazione nel corso di oltre 25 anni. Il loro sound aggressivo e veloce ha contribuito a definire l'estetica del heavy metal degli anni '80. Alcuni dei brani più rappresentativi includono "Heavy Metal Man", "Violence and Force" e "The Price of Freedom".
