Death By Stereo è una band hardcore punk formatasi ad Orange County, in California, intorno al 1996 dal frontman Efrem Schulz. Conosciuti per le loro performance energetiche e l'intricato lavoro di chitarra, il nome della band deriva dal film horror del 1987 *The Lost Boys*, in cui Corey Haim pronuncia la frase "Death by Stereo". La band ha pubblicato diversi album, tra cui *If You Can't Stand the Heat... Get Out of the Kitchen* (2000) e *This Is How We Die* (2003), che hanno contribuito a consolidare il loro posto nel panorama hardcore punk. Death By Stereo è stata anche nota per le sue intense collaborazioni con altre band del genere, come The Offspring e NOFX.
