Kimya Dawson è una cantautrice e musicista americana, nota per il suo stile indie folk caratterizzato da melodie semplici ma efficaci e testi introspettivi e poetici. Iniziò la sua carriera musicale negli anni '90 suonando con la band The Moldy Peaches, insieme ad Adam Green. Il duo ottenne un notevole successo underground grazie a brani come "Teenage Pregnancy" e "Anyone Else But You", che divennero virali grazie alla loro presenza nel film "Juno".
