Kool Keith, pseudonimo di Keith Matthew Thornton, è un rapper e produttore discografico statunitense nato a New York nel 1964. Considerato uno dei pionieri dell'hip hop sperimentale, Kool Keith si distingue per il suo stile rap eccentrico, caratterizzato da rime intricate, flow innovativo e testi surreali che spaziano dalla fantascienza al horror. Iniziò la sua carriera negli anni '80 con il gruppo Ultramagnetic MCs, contribuendo a definire l'estetica del jazz rap.
