Machine Head è una band statunitense di heavy metal originaria di Oakland, California. Formatasi nel 1989, il gruppo ha raggiunto la fama internazionale con l'album di debutto *Burn My Eyes* (1994), considerato un classico del thrash metal degli anni '90. Il sound della band è caratterizzato da riff pesanti, melodie accattivanti e testi introspettivi che affrontano temi come la rabbia, la frustrazione e la disillusione sociale. 1997 ha visto l'uscita di *The More Things Change*, un album che ha segnato una svolta verso sonorità più aggressive e sperimentali, con influenze del nu metal. Tra i brani più rappresentativi di Machine Head figurano «Davidian», «Imperium», «Halo» e «Bloodshed».
