Pencey Prep è un gruppo musicale indie rock statunitense formatosi nel 2015. Il nome del gruppo deriva dal liceo immaginario di *The Catcher in the Rye* di J.D. Salinger, che riflette la loro estetica nostalgica e introspettiva. Il sound dei Pencey Prep si caratterizza per melodie orecchiabili, testi malinconici e un'atmosfera indie pop con influenze punk rock. Il loro album di debutto, *Heartbreak in Stereo*, pubblicato nel 2017, ha ricevuto recensioni positive dalla critica e ha contribuito a farli conoscere al pubblico.
