The xx sono un gruppo musicale britannico formatosi a Londra nel 2005. Composto da Romy Madley Croft (voce, chitarra), Oliver Sim (basso, voce) e Jamie Smith (produzione, elettronica), il trio ha guadagnato fama internazionale per il loro sound minimalista e atmosferico, caratterizzato da melodie semplici ma efficaci, arrangiamenti sottili e testi introspettivi. I membri del gruppo si sono conosciuti all'Elliott School di Londra, una scuola d'arte nota per aver formato artisti come Hot Chip, Burial e Four Tet. Dopo la partenza della tastierista Baria Qureshi nel 2009, The xx hanno continuato a pubblicare album di successo, tra cui l'album di debutto omonimo (2009), Coexist (2012) e I See You (2017). Il loro sound ha influenzato diverse band indie contemporanee e continua ad essere apprezzato per la sua capacità di creare un'atmosfera intima e coinvolgente. Tra i brani più rappresentativi del gruppo ricordiamo "Intro", "Angels", "Shelter" e "On Hold".
Da 9 anni a questa parte, quando il periodo estivo è alle porte, l'ippodromo Capannelle si prepara ad ospitare il più grande evento rock italiano: il Postepay Sound Rock in Roma.
