Out of the darkness, you saved me
I was alone, you came down to claim me
Out of the darkness, you saved me
Out of the darkness, yeah, you came down to claim me
There'll be no heroes on this battlefield
They'll destroy you
Now don't go looking for your Watergate
Who employs you, baby, they'll exploit you
Man I'm not afraid
Don't need a Master
I know what you're after
I'll take my chances
Man I'm not afraid
No ticker tape
Cuz when you find the truth
It'll rock ya to your roots
Out of my body
Out of my mind
Free of control
The way I like it
Out of my body
Out of my mind
Out of this world
Out of time
Would you just walk by on the other side?
Just like those others?
Are you asleep, are you still alive?
Do you still wonder?
Man I'm not afraid
Don't need that Master
I know what you're after
I'll take my chances
Man I'm not afraid
No ticker tape
Cuz when you find the truth
It'll rock ya to your roots
Out of my body
Out of my mind
Free of control
The way I like it
Out of my body
Out of my mind
Out of this world
Out of time
And tell everybody, write it up in the sky
Telling you know the reasons why
And tell everybody, write it up in the sky
Telling you know it's one big lie
Out of the darkness, you saved me
I was alone, you came down to claim me
We went walking together
You whispered mysteries that have been here forever
Oh Lord I want to know now
Why this pain it just seems to grow, yeah
Out of the darkness, you saved me
I was lonely, you came down to claim me
Out of my body
Out of my mind
Free of control
The way I like it
Out of my body
Out of my mind
Out of this world
Free of time
And tell everybody, write it up in the sky
Telling you know - spell out the lie
And tell everybody, write it up in the sky
Telling you know it's one big lie, yeah
Oh now
Oh yeah
I'm free of control
Now don't go looking for your Watergate
They'll destroy you
Are you asleep, are you still alive?
(I'm free of control)
Do you still wonder?
