Creatures of the sea don't like us
Or they ain't made they mind up
In the land of the beasts where you find us
Until the end of time comes
So we, play God for free
We know it won't, take off
Please, take your seats for me
Mmm, said the ocean and the trees
Uh
This dollar's for a cause when you sign up
But I ain't made my mind up, yeah
And when I heard the breeze it was silence
Now I hear it say time's up
Why'd you burn down my house?
You know it won't, work out
Don't cut down the clouds for me
Yeah, said the birds and the bees
I don't want, I don't want, I don't want trouble
To write another song and I pray that you love me, I love you
A letter for the bark and the cracks in the rubble
Indebted for my life, high time that sung you (Phew)
All of the pain that I brung you, we dumb dumb and scum, we chum not above you
Bump one, bump, b-bump, I know when you're angry
Can't be killed like all the ants in my pantry
I had to fly over water for years and for years I had died when I heard somebody cry (Okay)
Might be news to some but for years and for years I would breathe all the toxic gas in the sky
Okay like, yeah
Creatures of the sea don't like us
Or they ain't made they mind up, yeah
In the land of the beasts where you'll find us
Until the end of time comes
So we play God for free
We know it won't, take off
Please, take your seats for me
Mmm, said the ocean and the trees
Don't you burn down my house
You know it won't, work out
Don't cut down the clouds for me
Yeah, said the birds and the bees
Play God for me
Me
(Vocalization)
For in this wicked time
One day our souls will pass
And we will settle in this earth
They'll call us modern trash
