Years and Years è un progetto musicale britannico fondato dal cantante Olly Alexander. Inizialmente concepito come gruppo, il sound si è evoluto in una fusione di electropop, R and B e influenze house anni '90, con echi di artisti come Flying Lotus, Diplo, Radiohead, Jai Paul e Jamiroquai. L'esordio del progetto risale al 2013 con il singolo «Shine», seguito dall'album di debutto omonimo nel 2015. L'album ha riscosso un grande successo, raggiungendo la posizione numero uno nella classifica britannica e ottenendo certificazioni platino in diversi paesi. Alexander è noto per le sue performance teatrali e carismatiche, che hanno contribuito a far emergere Years and Years come una delle band più innovative e acclamate della scena musicale contemporanea. Tra i brani rappresentativi si ricordano «King», «Desire» e «Sanctify». Nel 2018, Alexander ha annunciato la pausa del progetto per dedicarsi a nuovi progetti musicali. Nel 2021 è tornato con un nuovo album solista intitolato «Heart of Glass», che ha segnato una svolta stilistica verso sonorità più elettroniche e introspettive.
