Gli Ugly Duckling sono un gruppo hip hop statunitense formatosi a Long Beach, California, nel 1993. Il trio originale era composto da Dizzy Dustin, Young Einstein e Andy Cooper. Conosciuti per il loro stile caratterizzato da rime intricate, beat funky e testi spesso ironici e autoironici, gli Ugly Duckling hanno contribuito a definire l'underground hip hop californiano degli anni '90. Il loro album di debutto, "The Ugly Duckling", uscito nel 1996, è considerato un classico del genere. Tra i brani più rappresentativi si ricordano "The World Is Yours", "I Got It" e "Gettin' Jiggy With It".
