Morbid Angel è una band di death metal americana proveniente da Tampa, Florida. Fondata nel 1983, ha contribuito in modo significativo allo sviluppo del genere death metal, differenziandolo dal thrash metal. Considerati uno dei pilastri del movimento, insieme a band come Death, Possessed, Obituary e Cannibal Corpse, hanno definito gli standard del genere con album iconici come *Altars of Madness* (1989), considerato da molti il miglior album di death metal di tutti i tempi.
