N.W.A (Niggaz Wit Attitudes) è stato un gruppo di hip hop statunitense formatosi a Compton, in California, negli anni '80. Considerati i pionieri del gangsta rap, hanno avuto un'enorme influenza sulla musica e la cultura popolare. Il loro stile musicale crudo e diretto rifletteva le realtà difficili della vita nelle comunità afroamericane degli Stati Uniti, affrontando temi come povertà, violenza e razzismo. Tra i membri più noti troviamo Eazy-E, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, MC Ren e DJ Yella. Il loro album di debutto, *Straight Outta Compton* (1988), è considerato un classico del genere e ha contribuito a portare il gangsta rap al mainstream. N.W.A si sciolse nel 1991 dopo una serie di controversie e litigi interni. Il loro impatto sulla musica hip hop è stato enorme, influenzando generazioni di artisti e contribuendo a definire l'estetica e le tematiche del genere. Alcuni dei brani più rappresentativi sono: *Straight Outta Compton*, *Fuck tha Police*, *Express Yourself*.
