Keep of Kalessin è una band di metal estremo proveniente da Trondheim, Norvegia. Fondata nel 1993, il gruppo ha visto diverse formazioni nel corso della sua storia. La formazione originale comprendeva Ghash al voce, Obsidian C. alle chitarre e tastiere, Warach al basso e Vyl alla batteria. In questo periodo hanno pubblicato due album: *Through Times of War* (1997) e *Agnen: A Journey Through the Dark* (1999), prima di sciogliersi. Obsidian C. ha poi fatto tour con Satyricon, ma ha resuscitato il nome Keep of Kalessin per un EP del 2003, *Reclaim*. Nel 2006 ha ricostituito la band con una nuova formazione e ha pubblicato il terzo album in studio, *Armada*. Hanno fatto tour con Behemoth e Dimmu Borgir all'inizio del 2008. Il loro quarto album, *Kolossus*, è stato pubblicato il 6 giugno 2008. Il nome della band deriva dalla serie di libri *Earthsea* di Ursula K. Le Guin, dove Kalessin è il nome dell'archidragone che porta il mondo di Earthsea.

Nel 2023, oltre il 70% delle canzoni entrate nella Billboard Hot 100 aveva avuto un'origine virale su piattaforme social prima di ricevere attenzione radiofonica.
Il 28 aprile 1986 la cantante Graziella Franchini, in arte Lolita, veniva ritrovata esanime e sfigurata nella camera del residence di Lamezia Terme in cui viveva ormai da un pò di tempo. L'omicidio è rimasto privo di colpevoli.

E' prevista per la prossima estate l'uscita del docufilm "Iron Maiden's Lost Singer", che riguarda Paul Di'Anno, cantante degli Iron Maiden dal 1978 al 1981, che è venuto a mancare a fine 2024.
La storica band mod torinese Statuto ristampa due classici della propria discografia, a partire da venerdì 13 febbraio saranno infatti disponibili per Sony Music gli album "Tempi Moderni" del 1997 e "Riskatto" del 1999. Il primo pubblicato originariamente nel 1997 torna oggi in versione doppio vinile 180 grammi e CD. "Tempi Moderni" contiene 12 canzoni in puro stile "brit e power pop" con ricchi arrangiamenti chitarristici e orchestrali, ammiccanti alle migliori produzioni di
