Dawn è una band svedese di death metal attiva dal 1990. Considerata una delle pionieristiche del genere, ha contribuito a definire l'estetica e il sound del death metal melodico con influenze black metal. Il gruppo è noto per le sue atmosfere cupe, i riff pesanti e le performance live intense. Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "The Serpent's Tongue", "Blood and Thunder" e "Eternal Darkness". L'album di debutto "From the Grave" (1992) è considerato un classico del genere. Dawn ha collaborato con artisti come Entombed e Dismember, contribuendo a plasmare la scena death metal svedese degli anni '90.
