Fat Freddy's Drop è un gruppo musicale neozelandese di sette elementi originario di Wellington. Il loro stile musicale è caratterizzato da una fusione di dub, reggae, soul, jazz, rhythm and blues e techno. Formati alla fine degli anni '90 come gruppo di jam session da musicisti provenienti da altre band di Wellington, Fat Freddy's Drop è gradualmente diventato il focus principale dei suoi membri. I componenti del gruppo hanno continuato a suonare con le loro rispettive formazioni - The Black Seeds, TrinityRoots, Bongmaster e altri - per gran parte della loro carriera di 11 anni.
