I Waltari sono un gruppo musicale finlandese di genere avant-garde metal, attivi dal 1986. Considerati pionieri del movimento metal sinfonico in Finlandia, hanno saputo mescolare elementi di musica classica, elettronica e rock progressivo con sonorità heavy metal. Il loro sound caratteristico è definito da un'atmosfera cupa e atmosferica, testi spesso introspettivi e sperimentali, e la presenza di strumenti orchestrali e sintetizzatori. Il gruppo ha pubblicato dieci album in studio, tra cui "The Waltari" (1989), "So Beautiful You're Blind" (1994) e "Radium Age" (2000). Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "Space Metal", "The End of the World", e "The Last Man on Earth". I Waltari hanno collaborato con diversi artisti finlandesi, tra cui la cantante Tarja Turunen.
