Trying to understand what's with you
And all your friends and friend's friends are trying too
It's hard to find the words I really wanna say
But there's no point in waiting for another day
Crashing at the beach till season's end
Our unknown future was just waiting straight ahead
Yeah on the verge of something we'll never forget
In this the summer of our utter discontent
All caught up in the things that you want to do
You're all caught up in the things that are only... YOU!!!
You're gonna set yourself on fire
I see you set yourself on fire
Now you're burnin' down
Those days reckless, earnest, angry and naive
So much has changed but so much stays the same
Yeah self destruction is still flowin' in my veins
Could rise to greatness or could all go down in flames
All caught up in the things that you wanna do...In the things that are only... YOU!!!
They're only you!!! Yeah!!!
You're gonna set yourself on fire
I see you set yourself on fire
Now you're burnin' down, burning down
Gonna burn...
Anti-Flag is an American punk rock band formed in 1988 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, by founding members Justin Sane (guitar/vocals) and Pat Thetic (drums)and known for its outspoken left-wing political views. Members include founding members, singer/guitarist Justin Sane, drummer Pat Thetic, and later members guitarist Chris Head, and snger/bassist Chris Barker who replaced Jamie "Cock" Towns, who had replaced original bassist Andy Flag in 1997 following his departure one year prior. The band is known also for their advocacy of progressive political action groups such as Greenpeace and Amnesty International. Some of their songs have influences from ska music.
