Gli Snot sono una band americana di alternative metal originaria di Santa Barbara, California. Formatisi nel 1995, il gruppo ha raggiunto la notorietà negli anni '90 grazie al loro sound aggressivo e influenzato dal nu metal. Il loro album di debutto, *Snot*, è stato pubblicato nel 1999 ed ha prodotto i singoli "Wannabe" e "Life Is but a Dream". La band ha continuato a registrare musica fino al 2002, anno della scomparsa del cantante Lynn Strait in un incidente stradale. Gli Snot sono ricordati per il loro stile musicale caratterizzato da riff pesanti, testi introspettivi e la potente voce di Strait.
