Take a seat and let me introduce myself
You've heard of me before I'm just like no one else
My faces have names and it's called my state of mind, state of mind
Can't slow down feeling 40 degrees
Waking up to parties in my lucid dreams
I'm running on fumes try'na catch my state of mind, state of mind
The dust is never settled on this lonely street
I'm envious of anyone with self esteem
The mirror ain't fair so I paint it on the glass, on the glass
Expectedly we always seem to doubt ourselves
Believing in a formula for perfect health
Pull me apart can you take my state of mind, state of mind
So it seems there's no time to breathe with this confidant in my soul
Leave me be with my soul to keep coz it's kept me here for so long
Yeah I couldn't know
That's the way it goes
Married to the well of memories
That's the way it goes for me
Yeah I couldn't know
That's the way it goes
Married to the well of memories
That's the way it goes for me
You never truly lose what you think you've lost
It lies within yourself and every path you've crossed
You're try'na play God, you don't that state of mind, state of mind
No one even knows you, you don't know yourself
You're caught between a heaven and your perfect hell
Don't worry child it's only a state of mind, state of mind
So it seems there's no time to breathe with this confidant in my soul
Leave me be with my soul to keep coz it's kept me here for so long
Yeah I couldn't know
That's the way it goes
Married to the well of memories
That's the way it goes for me
Yeah I couldn't know
That's the way it goes
Married to the well of memories
That's the way it goes for me
Yeah I couldn't know
That's the way it goes
Yeah I couldn't know
That's the way it goes
Yeah I couldn't know
That's the way it goes
Yeah I never know
That's the way it goes
Take a seat and let me introduce myself
You've heard of me before I'm just like no one else
My faces have names and it's called my state of mind, state of mind
Can't slow down feeling 40 degrees
Waking up to parties in my lucid dreams
I'm running on fumes try'na catch my state of mind, state of mind, state of mind
