Black Thought, pseudonimo di Tariq Trotter, è un rapper e attore statunitense nato a Philadelphia nel 1971. Considerato uno dei migliori MC di sempre, è noto per la sua tecnica raffinata, il flusso veloce e le rime intricate. È il frontman del gruppo hip hop The Roots, con cui ha vinto quattro Grammy Award. La band, fondata nel 1987, è diventata un punto di riferimento per l'hip hop contemporaneo grazie alla sua musica che fonde elementi jazz, funk e soul.
