The Beatnuts sono un duo hip hop statunitense originario di New York, formato dai rapper JuJu (dominicano-americano) e Psycho Les (colombiano-americano). Attivi dal fine degli anni '80, hanno contribuito a definire il sound del boom bap newyorkese con testi caratterizzati da una forte componente narrativa e un flow aggressivo. Considerati uno dei gruppi più influenti della scena underground hip hop, i Beatnuts sono noti per la loro abilità tecnica e per l'utilizzo di campioni jazz e funk. Sono membri del collettivo Native Tongues, sebbene abbiano sempre mantenuto un ruolo periferico rispetto ad altri artisti come A Tribe Called Quest o De La Soul. Tra i brani più rappresentativi si ricordano "Watch Out Now", "Off the Top" e "The Beatnuts Are Back".
