Flotsam and Jetsam è una band di thrash metal formatasi a Phoenix, Arizona nel 1982. Considerati uno dei pilastri del genere, hanno contribuito a definire il suono thrash degli anni '80 con riff veloci e aggressivi, testi oscuri e un'energia live travolgente. Il gruppo ha attraversato diverse formazioni nel corso della sua carriera, ma la presenza costante di Eric A.K. (voce) e Michael Gilbert (chitarra) ha mantenuto una coerenza sonora distintiva. Tra i loro album più importanti figurano "Doomsday for the Deceiver" (1986), considerato un classico del thrash metal, e "No Place for Disgrace" (1989). Flotsam and Jetsam hanno collaborato con artisti come Testament e Slayer, contribuendo a plasmare la scena musicale heavy metal degli anni '80 e '90.
