DJ Quik, all'anagrafe David Marvin Blake, è un rapper, beatmaker e produttore discografico statunitense nato a Compton, California, nel 1970. Considerato uno dei pionieri della West Coast hip hop, DJ Quik ha raggiunto la fama negli anni '90 con il suo stile unico che fonde funk, soul e jazz con elementi di gangsta rap. Il suo album di debutto, *Tonite*, pubblicato nel 1991, è considerato un classico del genere. Tra i suoi brani più famosi figurano "Born and Raised in Compton", "Safe + Sound" e "Dollaz + Sense". DJ Quik ha collaborato con numerosi artisti di spicco, tra cui Snoop Dogg, Warren G e Kurupt.
