Mobb Deep è stato un duo hip hop statunitense formato dai rapper Havoc (Jason Irvine) e Prodigy (Albert Johnson). Attivi dal 1990 fino alla morte di Prodigy nel 2017, sono considerati pilastri della Golden Era dell'East Coast hip hop. Il loro stile musicale è caratterizzato da testi cuciti con realismo crudo sulla vita nelle strade di Queensbridge, New York, e produzioni dark e atmosferiche. Il loro album di debutto *Juvenile Hell* (1993) ha introdotto il mondo al loro sound distintivo. Tuttavia, è stato il secondo album, *The Infamous* (1995), a consacrarli come icone del genere. Con brani come «Shook Ones (Part II)» e «Survival of the Fittest», Mobb Deep hanno definito l'estetica sonora dell'East Coast hip hop degli anni '90. Dopo *The Infamous*, il duo ha continuato a pubblicare album di successo, tra cui *Hell on Earth* (1996) e *Murda Muzik* (2000).
