Father John Misty, pseudonimo di Joshua Michael Tillman, è un cantautore, chitarrista e batterista statunitense nato nel 1981. Inizialmente noto come J. Tillman, ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale suonando in band indie rock come Fleet Foxes e collaborando con altri artisti come The Head and the Heart. Nel 2012 ha adottato il nome Father John Misty, dando inizio a un percorso artistico caratterizzato da testi sarcastici, ironici e introspettivi, spesso incentrati su temi religiosi, spirituali e sociali. Il suo stile musicale è una miscela di folk, rock alternativo e cantautorato, influenzato da artisti come Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen e Randy Newman. Tra i suoi album più noti figurano "Fear Fun" (2012), "I Love You, Honeybear" (2015) e "God's Favorite Customer" (2018).
