Uh
Okay
Pull up a seat in the frosty snow
I got a story that's gotta be told
'Bout my trip to the ol' North Pole
So hold on tight (Hold on tight)
I got lost up in the evergreens
Most beauty that I ever seen
Saw a house that glistened and gleamed
So I knocked twice
An old man with a pearly-white beard
Opened up, smiling ear to ear, he said
"It's about time you made it here
Come on inside" (Come inside)
He said, "I got a sniffle and an aching head"
Mrs. Claus said, "Santa, get to bed"
He winked at me and then he said
"If you're not busy tonight, could you
Put on the suit, it's in the closet
Say hi to Rudy, say hi to Comet
Take the reins and shake the bells
And you'll be on your way, huh
Down the chimney, stick the landing
Try the cookies, drop the presents
I know it's a lot to ask
But would you take my place?"
And my belly grew twenty inches
And my beard grew white and thick
On the night St. Nick got sick
Haha, come on, uh
He said I looked really fresh in red
Fuzzy hat warming up my head
I said, "Santa chill, stay in bed
It'll be alright," uh
Then the sleigh lifted off the ground
I was soaring fast, town to town
Scared of heights, but I still looked down
And I held tight
Then Santa called on the jingle line
Said, "You got it kid, you're doing fine"
He thanked me, I said, "Anytime
You need to take a break, I'll
Put on the suit in the closet
Say hi to Rudy, say hi to Comet
Take the reins and shake the bells
And I'll be on my way, uh
Down the chimney, stick the landing
Try the cookies, drop the presents"
I said, "Jolly man, I got your back
I'll try to take your place"
And my belly grew twelve inches
And my beard grew white and thick
On the night St. Nick got sick
Well, Santa's back in business now
I trimmed the beard, lost the pounds
I swear it's true and I don't know how
But late one Christmas Eve, I got to
Put on the suit in the closet
Said hi to Rudy, said hi to Comet
Took the reins and shook the bells
And I was on my way, ha
Down the chimney, stuck the landing
Tried the cookies, dropped the presents
I had a jolly good time
But no one could take his place
And the elves still send me postcards
That's me and Santa in the pic
From the night St. Nick got sick
Oh, from the night St. Nick got sick, haha
Don't you worry, he'll be alright
