Lard è un gruppo musicale hardcore punk/industrial formatosi nel 1988 come progetto parallelo da parte di Jello Biafra (voce), Al Jourgensen (chitarra), Paul Barker (basso) e Jeff Ward (batteria). Biafra è forse più noto come ex frontman della band punk rock Dead Kennedys. Jourgensen è il fondatore e unico membro continuo della band industrial metal Ministry, di cui Barker è stato membro ufficiale tra il 1986 e il 2004, mentre Ward ne faceva parte anche durante i tour. Nel corso degli anni, diversi altri membri di Ministry hanno suonato con Lard, tra cui Bill Rieflin, Mike Scaccia e Rey Washam. Lard ha pubblicato cinque album in studio, combinando elementi hardcore punk, industrial metal e noise rock. Il loro sound è caratterizzato da testi provocatori e aggressivi, spesso incentrati su temi politici e sociali.
