Il nome della band deriva da una strofa del brano "Ghost Train" dei Counting Crows: ".Took the cannonball down to the ocean, Across the desert from the sea to shining sea, I rode a ladder that climbed across the nation, Fifty million feet of earth between the buried and me.". Attivi dal 2000, i BTBAM hanno pubblicato un'ampia discografia di album che hanno contribuito a definire il panorama del metal progressivo contemporaneo.
