Tartaros è un gruppo hard rock attivo negli anni '90. Originari dell'Italia, sono noti per il loro sound heavy metal influenzato da band come Black Sabbath e Judas Priest. Il loro album di debutto, *The Grand Psychotic Castle*, risale al 1993 ed è considerato un classico del genere underground. Nel 1996 pubblicano *The Red Jewel*, che consolida il loro successo e li porta a suonare in importanti festival metal europei. Tra i brani più rappresentativi di Tartaros figurano "Blood and Thunder", "The Serpent's Kiss" e "Eternal Night".
