Gojira è una band francese di metal progressivo formatasi a Bayonne nel 1996. Originariamente chiamata Godzilla, il gruppo ha cambiato nome nel 2001. La formazione attuale comprende Joe Duplantier (voce e chitarra ritmica), suo fratello Mario Duplantier (batteria), Christian Andreu (chitarra solista) e Jean-Michel Labadie (basso). Gojira è nota per la sua musica complessa, influenzata dal death metal, dal thrash metal e dal progressive rock. I testi spesso trattano temi ambientali e spirituali.
