'Cause you were the best thing
And I was the best thing in that whole town
But I was a mess then, yeah
And you were still testing
'Cause you were the best thing
And I was the best thing in that whole town
But you were a mess then
And I was still testing
Whenever you leave and still have a doubt
And I still breathe when I'm alone
Whatever you need, as long as I know
It's when you just leave
And I can't go
'Cause you were the best thing
And I was the best thing in that whole town
But I was a mess then, yeah
And you were still testing
'Cause you were the best thing
And I was the best thing in that whole town
But you were the mess then, yeah
And I was still testing
Stay still crawling around
Stay still mentioning out, and I
And I won't say I'm proud
Stay still, stay still, stay still
Whenever you leave and still have a doubt
And I still breathe when I'm alone
Whatever you need, as long as I know
It's when you just leave
And I can't go
'Cause you were the best thing
And I was the best thing in that whole town
But I was a mess then, yeah
And you were still testing
'Cause you were the best thing
And I was the best thing in that whole town
But you were the mess then
And I was still testing
Oh, no, no, no, no, no
Well I hiccuped
Like I finished
Doesn't matter if I get my way and (Da-da-da-da-da)
I fight winning, if I'm in it
Change my mind if I'm feeling strange and
I will make the time if you say it will take me back
Could've made it right when I said it
But you stood there smacked (Oh, you stood there)
I hope you ain't heard about my ways
And that you were the one that kept me safe
'Cause I had you and I knew it
And that was before I blew it (Was before I blew it)
And I hope you were saying (Uh, uh)
Hope is alive (Uh, uh)
Tried to be first
But no one survived
I, I, okay, I'll stop, I'll stop
Whenever you leave (Whenever you leave)
And still have a doubt (And still have a doubt)
And I still breathe when I'm alone
Whatever you need, as long as I know
It's when you just leave, yeah, leave (Yeah)
And I can't go
'Cause you were the best thing (I know you believe me)
And I was the best thing in that whole town
But I was a mess then, yeah (I was a mess then)
(I know you believe me, baby)
And you were still testing
'Cause you were the best thing (I know you believe me, baby)
And I was the best thing in that whole town
But you were the mess then (You were a mess then)
And I was still testing
Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no
Oh, no, no, no, no, no, yeah
Ooh, we, we, we, we, we
We were still testing each other
We were still testing each other
Il testo THIS TOWN di AMA LOU è presente anche nell'album Ama, who? (2019)
