Well I've been busy creating this big mess
(That we've mistakenly called a success)
It's safe to say I passed the test
(and now you see me shaking under the stress)
A short, short scene scenario, a different situation
You can't keep on living with your verbal masturbation
I've been blinking
You've been thinking
Where does that leave us now?
I'm gonna make sure this is better than before
I'm gonna get through to you
I'm gonna make you do the things you never thought you'd do
I'm gonna get though to you.
Yeah I'm gonna get though to you.
(Yo, take that bass line for a walk)
Wow you were giving those cancerous answers
Scandalous dancer, a second glance
A second chance, at romance
I never thought you'd do me like you did
I assumed the opposite
This is where we end up
I'm back to nothing
This is where we end up
I'm left with nothing.
I'm gonna make sure this is better than before
I'm gonna get though to you
I'm gonna make you do the things you never thought you'd do
I'm gonna get through to you
Yeah, I'm gonna get through to you.
I'm gonna make sure this is better than before
I'm gonna get through to you
I'm gonna make you do the things you never thought you'd do
I'm gonna get through to you
Yeah, I'm gonna get through to you
(One, two)
It seems that in everyone's life
The rise and fall, it happens to us all
It seems I never was right
In taking these chances (failed romances)
Why you gotta go and do me like that?
Why you gotta hide the truth?
Why you gotta go and play me like that?
Why you have to act a fool?
Why you gotta go and do me like that?
Why you gotta hide the truth?
Why you have to go and play me like that?
Why you have to act a fool?
I'm gonna make sure this is better than before
I'm gonna get through to you
I'm gonna make you do the things you never thought you'd do
I'm gonna get through to you
Yeah, I'm gonna get through to you
I'm gonna make sure this is better than before
I'm gonna get through to you
I'm gonna make you do the things you never thought you'd do
I'm gonna get through to you
I'm gonna...get through...to you
