Cold War Kids è un gruppo indie rock americano formatosi nel 2004 a Long Beach, California. Il gruppo attuale è composto da Matt Aveiro (batteria), Matt Maust (basso), Jonnie Bo Russell (chitarra) e Nathan Willett (voce, pianoforte). Il loro sound si caratterizza per un mix di rock alternativo, folk e psichedelia, con testi spesso introspettivi e poetici. Tra i brani più noti figurano "Hospital Beds", "Saint John", e "Hang Me Up to Dry". Il loro album di debutto, "Robbers and Cowards", pubblicato nel 2006, ha riscosso un grande successo di critica e pubblico. Cold War Kids sono considerati una delle band indie rock più influenti degli anni 2000.
