James Ingram (16 febbraio 1956) è un musicista e cantante statunitense di soul. Noto soprattutto per la sua voce potente e versatile, Ingram è anche un musicista autodidatta che suona pianoforte, chitarra, basso, batteria e tastiere. Oltre a cantare, ha lavorato come produttore e compositore. Ha raggiunto il successo internazionale negli anni '80 con brani come "Yah Mo B There" (in collaborazione con Michael McDonald) e "I Don't Want to Lose Your Love". Ingram è stato nominato per numerosi Grammy Award e ha vinto un premio Oscar nel 1986 per la canzone "I Just Called to Say I Love You", presente nella colonna sonora del film "The Color Purple".
