Hopesfall è stata una band post-hardcore proveniente da Charlotte, North Carolina, formatasi nel 1998. Firmata per l'etichetta Trustkill Records, la band ha raggiunto un seguito di culto grazie al suo sound caratterizzato da melodie emozionali e riff pesanti. Dopo anni di attività, segnati da tour intensi e album apprezzati dalla critica come «The Satellite Years» (2003) e «Magnetic» (2005), Hopesfall si è sciolta nel 2008 quando tutti i membri, tranne il cantante Jay Forrest, hanno deciso di abbandonare il progetto. Tra le canzoni più rappresentative della band ricordiamo «The Weight of the World», «A Thousand Years Ago» e «This Is How We Die».
