Drifting away couldn't find a place to stay
Walking in the footsteps of it all
Drifting away couldn't find a place to stay
Walking in the footsteps of the lord (of the lord)
Come down here in West Oakland
32nd and San Pablo Avenue
Things are just the same
As they were 30 years ago today
Drifting away couldn't find a place to stay
Walking in the footsteps of it all
I'm drifting away couldn't find a place to stay
Walking in the footsteps of the lord
Good bye good bye good bye
Good bye good bye good bye
How they treated me bad
Ohh they treated me so bad when I was a runaway
Locked down in this hole, oh it be so lonely
Locked down in this hole, oh it be so lonely
Locked down in this hole, oh it be so lonely
Locked down in this hole, oh it be so lonely
Y'all better wake up
Life and death here don't take up
Demons of the mind let's shake up
Conspiracy lies
The laziest minds kill most of their time
Preacher
Spittin' dark rhymes through speakers
Candy for liars and tweekers
Standing in line for Air Jordan sneakers
No hustle no grind
I know that there's pressure in the world
I know that there's pressure in the world
Arrghhh what do you come for?
Arrghhh what do you come for?
Locked down in this hole, oh it be so lonely
Locked down in this hole, oh it be so lonely
Locked down in this hole, oh it be so lonely
Locked down in this hole, oh it be so lonely
Get out
Popo here spying on a stake out
Gotta find a way to break out
Thinking you was here
For chuckin' dem spears at zodiac signs
Fake out
Dream machine crushers make out
Stealing your style den chase out
All of your smiles
Compressing your spine 'til dust they grind
I know that there's pressure in the world
I know that there's pressure in the world
Arrrghhh what do you come for?
Arrrghhh
Locked down in this hole, oh it be so lonely
Locked down in this hole, oh it be so lonely
You can give a lil bait but don't give it all away
You can give a little bait but don't give it all away
Locked down in this hole, oh it be so lonely
Locked down in this hole, oh it be so lonely
Locked down in this hole, oh it be so lonely
Locked down in this hole, oh it be so lonely
