Originario degli Stati Uniti, il gruppo ha raggiunto una certa popolarità con i suoi brani orecchiabili e melodie dance-pop influenzate dalla musica synth. Nonostante non abbiano ottenuto un successo globale duraturo, Wax rimane un esempio di come la musica pop degli anni '80 abbia saputo catturare l'attenzione del pubblico con sonorità innovative e accattivanti. Alcuni dei loro brani più noti includono "Bridge to Your Heart", "I Wanna Be Loved" e "Never Gonna Let You Go".
