Carnage è stata una band di death metal svedese formatasi nel 1988 da Michael Amott e Johan Liiva. Considerata una delle prime band del genere in Svezia, ha influenzato profondamente la scena musicale locale. Dopo aver pubblicato un solo album, l'omonimo "Carnage", nel 1990, la band si è sciolta nel 1991. I membri di Carnage hanno poi fondato altre band di successo come Dismember e Arch Enemy, contribuendo a plasmare il panorama del death metal mondiale. Tra i brani più rappresentativi di Carnage ricordiamo "The Beast", "Bloodlust" e "Death of the Soul".
