I RATT sono una band heavy metal formatasi a San Diego, California, nel 1978. Considerati uno dei pilastri del movimento glam metal degli anni '80, hanno raggiunto il successo internazionale con album come "Out of the Cellar" (1984) e "Invasion of Privacy" (1985), che hanno venduto milioni di copie in tutto il mondo. Il loro sound caratteristico è caratterizzato da riff heavy, melodie orecchiabili e testi spesso incentrati su temi di libertà, ribellione e rock'n'roll. Tra i brani più famosi della band figurano "Round and Round", "Lay It Down" e "You're in Love". I RATT hanno collaborato con artisti come Mötley Crüe e Guns N' Roses durante il periodo di massimo successo, contribuendo a definire l'immagine del glam metal. Dopo una serie di cambiamenti nella formazione, la band si è sciolta nel 1990 per poi riunirsi in diverse occasioni negli anni successivi.
