Leslie Sebastian Charles, noto al mondo come Billy Ocean, è un cantante trinidadiano naturalizzato britannico. Nato a Port of Spain, Trinidad e Tobago, nel 1950, ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale negli anni '70 con il gruppo The Seagulls. Dopo aver raggiunto un discreto successo in Gran Bretagna, Ocean decise di intraprendere una carriera da solista, ottenendo fama internazionale negli anni '80 grazie a successi come "Red Light Spells Danger", "Caribbean Queen (No More Love on the Run)" e "Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car". Ocean ha venduto milioni di dischi in tutto il mondo, conquistando un posto nella storia della musica pop.
