Taking Back Sunday è un gruppo emo statunitense formatosi ad Amityville, New York, nel 1999. La formazione originale comprendeva John Nolan (chitarra), Eddie Reyes (batteria), Fred Mascherino (chitarra) e Adam Lazzara (voce). Il loro sound, caratterizzato da melodie orecchiabili, testi introspettivi e un'energia live intensa, ha contribuito a definire l'emocore degli anni 2000. Il loro album di debutto, *Where You Want to Be*, pubblicato nel 2004, raggiunse la posizione numero 3 nella classifica Billboard 200, consolidando il successo della band.
